Defensive Pistol Level 2
Defensive Pistol 2 builds on the foundational skills developed in DP1 and introduces the practical skills needed to carry and use a handgun for the protection of yourself and your loved ones. This 4-hour class takes place entirely on the range and focuses on the manipulations required for everyday carry. Students will learn how to safely and efficiently draw from a holster, perform emergency and tactical reloads, execute precise trigger manipulation for high-precision shots, and clear common malfunctions. We also introduce cognitive stress into training, requiring students to process what they are seeing and make decisions while employing the firearm. The course concludes with baseline performance testing, giving students a clear understanding of their current skill level and a path forward for continued training.
