Texas LTC Course
Our LTC will provide all State-mandated classroom instruction. You MUST pass the live-fire handgun proficiency test and the 25-question written exam to earn your Certificate of Training LTC 104 form. To obtain your LTC permit, you are required to make and pass a background check which includes fingerprinting.

Prerequisites:
Basic Pistol Handling Knowledge
Legal Eligibility Requirements:
1. Must be a legal resident of Texas, or apply for a non-resident license
2. Must be at least 21 years old, unless active duty or honorably discharged from the military, then at least 18 years old
3. Must not ever have been convicted of a FELONY
4. Must not be currently charged with a Class A or Class B MISDEMEANOR or FELONY
5. Must not be chemically dependent, including alcohol
6. Must be capable of exercising sound judgment
7. Must not have been convicted of a Class A or Class B misdemeanor, or a disorderly conduct, in the past 5 years
8. Must be fully qualified under federal and state laws to purchase a handgun
9. Must not be delinquent in any payments to the state of Texas, including child support and property taxes
10. Must not be restricted by a protective or restraining order involving a person
11. Must not have been convicted of a felony grade juvenile delinquent conduct in the previous 10 years.
